The Alexandria Campus of Northern Virginia Community College is continually working to improve its political science program.

For the Spring Semester, the Alexandria Campus hosted the
PRESIDENTS OF VIRGINIA LECTURE SERIES.
On Wednesday, April 9, 2008, Dr. Dan Preston of the University of Mary Washington and the James Monroe Papers presented an illustrated look back at Monroe's life.

For the Fall 2008 semester, we will continue the lecture series by focusing on Presidents Woodrow Wilson and John Tyler. We will also turn our attention to 2008 presidential elections. If you would like to be on an email list for upcoming events, please send an email to jlechelt@nvcc.edu.

(Click HERE to watch the Conference in its entirity.) In Spring 2007, James Carville once again taught his filled-to-capacity class on American political issues. One of the highlights of the course was a visit by Virginia Governor Tim Kaine.
