How I can help
At NOVA Alexandria campus I'm one of the people you can contact if your having trouble with any of the equipment in your classroom. I've worked here for 7 plus years and have good understanding of the in and outs of all the problems in each classroom. So if your projector isn't working or you can't figure out why your computer isn't turning on then I can help.
Guides
One of my jobs here is to help teachers and students to learn how new trends in technology can help them. To do this I've started to create guides for to show what is available and how to use them. Below are links to what I've worked on so far.
About Me
I've been working at NOVA Alexandria campus since 2004 as a part time Media Specialist II. During that time I've of course seen quite a few changes. Thats all the boring part about me though, I graduated from George Mason University with a Degree in Digital Arts and presently I'm looking forward to moving to a full time position at the campus. I'm interested in many forms of the visual media with an affinity to Graphic Design.
My goals at the campus hopefully will help push us to using more Web 2.0 tools and to bring awareness to such sites as Wikipedia, a site I feel gets a bump rap in the present academic climate. I feel by bringing awareness to new tools and showing facutly and staff how to use them we can improve the overall education process.
Beyond that I spend my free time doing contract graphic design jobs for company like Deltek and Mack/Crounse Group.
