My teaching philosophy is to challenge students to learn and enjoy history and to begin to apply lessons from the past to understand contemporary issues. I also seek to motivate students to sharpen their critical thinking skills, approach problems objectively and express themselves clearly and effectively. This is accomplished by creating a nurturing partnership with students in which the end goal is learning for them and for me.
