 Essay

1.  Descibe the organization of Chandragupta's empire.  Who were the enemies of the Mauryans?  How did Chandragupta control internal and external enemies of the government?
2.  What happened to the Mauryans?  Why?  Did they make any lasting contributions to Indian culture?
3.  Who were the Guptas?  Why is this period known as the Classical Age of India?  Did the Guptas make any lasting contributions to Indian culture.   What do you believe to be the positive features of the Gupta Age?  The negative aspects?  What happened to the Guptas?
