Essay

1.  Give the major features of Egyptian civilization:  its political system, religioius establishment, and social structures.  In what specific ways has it contributed to subsequent civilizations?
2.  Discuss the reign of Amenhotep IV (Ikhnaton).  What was his major aim and what did he actually achieve?  Why did his reforms fail to outlast him?
