While reading Chapters 11-12 of your textbook, watch for the following items.  When you find the item in either chapter 11 or 12,  identify the object or person.  Some items are more important than others.  On your exam, you will need to identify and discuss the importance of the most important individuals or items.

Topics for Study
The following essay questions should be guides for your reading of Chapters 11-12. The topics may suggest an idea for a research paper that would  increase your knowledge of the topic. The following essay questions will be included on the Second Exam.  You will write two essays on the first exam.  You will choose your exam essays.  
1.  Discuss and contrast the religious policies off Edward VI and Mary Tudor.
2. Elizabeth I was one of England's most famous monarchs.  Discuss her method of ruling and her foreign policy.  Was she a successful ruler/  Why or why not?
3.  Explain the growth of Tudor absolutism from Henry VII to the death of Elizabeth I.
4.  Define the term "English Renaissance" and comment on the contribution of several of its outstanding representatives.
5.  Describe in detail the course of the Protestant Reformation in England.
