Topics for Study
The following essay questions should be guides for your reading of Chapters 5-6.  The topics may suggest an idea for a research paper that would  increase your knowledge of the topic. The following essay questions will be included on the First Exam.  You will write two essays on the first exam.  You will choose your exam essays.  
1.  Describe the changes in agriculture during the period of the Angevin kings.  What were the results of these changes?  How did the merchants fit into the changes in agriculture?
2.  Discuss the evolution of the common Law under the Angevins.
3.  What was the problem between Thomas Beckett and Henry II?
4.  Generally, what were the issues of the Magna Carta?  What sections of the document effected the future of English civilization?
