While reading the textbook, watch for the following items.  When you find the item in Chapter 2, identify the object or person and be able to discuss the importance of each item.

Topics for Study
The following two essay question should be guides for your reading of Chapter 2.  The topics may suggest and idea for a research paper to increase your knowledge of the topic.  Both of the following essay questions will be included on the First Exam.
1.  Compare the accomplishments and failures of Roman rule in Britain.  What was the legacy of Roman Britain.
2.  Discuss the conditions of life in Roman Britain:  the cities, the manors, the Celtic farms, and the military garrisons.
