One site is about the Olympics and the other is about the great warrior Hercules. Your assignment is to read all the pages linked to these two topics and to write a short essay of 500 words answering this question: How do these two topics of ancient Olympics and Hercules relate to each other and what do they tell us about the values of ancient Greeks? In your paper you should describe what you learned about these topics and your impression of sports in ancient Greek society and the role of the great warrior in ancient Greece. Include in your description a comparison of ancient and modern Olympics. You should click on each topic and explore all the areas in the web pages associated with each topic. Read about the location of the ancient games and its famous athletes. Learn how the ancient games compare with modern Olympics. On the Hercules site, read about his life and about his twelve great labors.Then find out what happened to Hercules and how he died. Your essay should have an introductory paragraph which presents your basic response to these two questions. Then the rest of your paper should provide examples from the web pages to explain. A couple of sentences at the end which tie these two topics together and indicate what they tell us about ancient Greece will be your conclusion. This brings the reader back to your main idea.
