What is the Master Math Lab?

The Master Math Lab is the MTT designed Math Lab where you need to take most of your quizzes and tests. You are required to be in the lab at least 2 hours each week.

For the summer semester, students taking 6-week classes will be required to spend at least 5 hours per week at the Master Math Lab. Students taking 12-week classes will be required to spend at least 2 hours and 30 minutes per week at the Master Math Lab.

Bisdorf Building, room AA297.

What are the hours of operation of the lab?

Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 9:30pm
Friday and Saturday 8:30am - 4:00pm
You can always call for information on special hours or any other kind of information. The number is 703-845-6151.

Is there help available in the lab?

We try to have al least four people working at all times including instructors, staff and tutors.

How are lab hours recorded?

We use the AccuTrack system in the lab. You always need to have your student id card in order to sign in and sign out. You swipe your card when you come in and then swipe again when you leave. The system automatically generates a weekly report that is sent to your teacher.

Why are cups used in the lab?

The cup system is designed to notify the lab workers if you have a question or need to take a test. In lieu of raising your hand for an extended amount of time, we encourage you to use cups. If you have a question, place the red cup on the piece of cardboard behind your computer and someone will assist you. If you are ready to take a quiz or test, place the blue cup on the piece of cardboard behind your computer. The blue cup should remain on your computer until you've submitted your quiz or test.
