STD 100 Courses: Designed to introduce students to their college, the campus, the resources and  the skills necessary to become  successful NOVA students.

New Student Orientation - One day  format from 9:00 until 2:00 with additional projects. Typically taught Fall and Spring semesters prior to the first day of classes.

Success Skills - Eight week lecture format on Monday from 5:00 - 6:40.  Taught Fall and Spring semesters. 

 

Workshops:  Designed to enhance  the college student experience.

"Study Skills Mini-Workshop" Fall and Spring semesters

"Black History Month Topics" - ie: Historically Black Colleges/Universities, Diversity &Affirmative Action
