Welcome to Dr. Lanthier's course for Research Methods in Psychology. I teach this course in the Fall semester on the Alexandria campus of Northern Virginia Community College.

Psy 211 introduces students (usually psychology majors) to the different techniques for conducting empirical research. We will also design, run, analyze, and report an original research study.

Quotes from former students:

"I just want to thank you for being so rigorous in your grading of APA style papers. Here at Mason, I was actually over-prepared for their expectations of how to write an APA style paper. I have not gotten below a B on any APA style paper I've written so far in my two semesters here at Mason..." - Brian Roberts, NOVA class of 2008, currently at George Mason University

"Compared to Mason students, NOVA students are way more familiar and comfortable with the APA format and writing article reviews." -Ivana Vukolic, NOVA class of 2008, currently at George Mason University
