Understanding The Parts Of A Database
Table |
This object type defines the structure of an Access database. Tables display multiple records in rows and columns. Information in these records can be entered, edited, stored, and retrieved. |
|---|---|
Query |
A way of requested selected information from a table. When you run a query, a selected set of records, called the Record set, appears. You can then edit or print the Record set. |
Form |
A screen display you can create to show selected fields from records. Forms allow you to enter, view, and edit data. You can use a form as an alternative to displaying data in rows and columns. |
Report |
A design for printed data. Reports can include lists and mailing labels as well as database reports. Reports can also perform math and calculate summaries. |
