  EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
 

Ms. Cantwell is Assistant Dean and Professor of Construction Management and Civil Engineering Technology at NVCC - Alexandria.  She has more than thirteen years of experience as a construction management professional and geotechnical engineer.  She has worked for companies including Parsons Brinckerhoff Construction Services, the Boeing Company and McDonough Bolyard Peck just to name a few.  Ms. Cantwell obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree as well as a Master of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.  Ms. Cantwell is a licensed professional engineer (PE) in the State of Virginia and a certified cost engineer (CCE).  In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Ms. Cantwell stays current with the industry while providing consulting services.
