
Denise m. Cantwell, pe, LEED AP, CCE
Assistant Dean and Associate Professor
Construction Management & Civil Engineering Technology
Ms. Cantwell is starting her ninth year as a professor at NOVA. As assistant dean, Ms. Cantwell is responsible for advising all construction management and civil engineering technology students. She is also responsible for taking care of the many administrative duties related to each program.
Ms. Cantwell has more than eighteen years of experience as a construction management professional and geotechnical engineer. She has worked for companies including Parsons Brinckerhoff Construction Services, the Boeing Company and McDonough Bolyard Peck just to name a few. Ms. Cantwell obtained her Bachelor of Engineering degree as well as a Master of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. Ms. Cantwell is a licensed professional engineer (PE), a LEED accredited professional (LEED AP) and a certified cost engineer (CCE). In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Ms. Cantwell stays current with the industry while providing consulting services.
