I. Course Objective:
Students will gain an understanding of ethical theory and practice from a study of Western and Eastern perspectives on moral wisdom.

III. Course Schedule:
The workload for a regular class session is typically a reading assignment of approximately 30 pages. By the end of the semester, we will have covered about 15 chapters from the text.
IV. Grading:
Grades will be based on:
(1) Two in-class essay exams (1 hour each) and one in-class final exam
(2-3 hours)
(2) Attendance is required. Please check after class with the
instructor if you came late. Absence of approximately 25% of actual
class time may result in no credit for the course.
(3) Participation is required. Reading assignments must be completed
on time so as to ensure meaningful class discussions. Students leaving
class early may result in no credit for the course.
Participation and Attendance: 20 %
In-Class Essays: 30 % each
Final: 50 %
