Syllabus

I. Course Objectives:

To demonstrate reading proficiency in Ancient Greek texts.

II. Course Textbook

Course texts change by the semester. Students read from several selections or from one selection.  Authors include: Homer, Herodotus, Thucydides, Polybius, Plutarch,Plato, Aristotle, and other Greek writers. New Testament books and letters are included.

III. Grading

Grades are determined by class preparation and one final exam.  Students are allowed use of a dictionary in final exam.  Attendence is required.
Absence of 25% or more of total classes will result in no credit for the course.
