Neat Articles:
- Linux
- You Can Do It!
- How are things going for Vista, do we all love it, is it
really ready yet (with the updates and revisions)? In
fact, it seems that some people and some organizations are Giving up on Vista and they
are starting to consider going back to or "downgrade" (the new
software opposite of "upgrade") to XP. It seems that
even Microsoft may be subtly admitting problems with Vista in
that it has extended availability of Windows XP for an
additional five months. Does it perhaps reflect that XP
is NT 5 and Vista is NT 6 (remember the Microsoft evens-odds
OS patterns). Now, what about the new Windows 7 (Win 7)
Hints on What to Study for the
Final Exam!!

the course syllabus!

command introduction lecture (for both DOS and Linux)!!!
- Be familiar with the historical development of the DOS/Windows
operating system from 1981 through 2010+
Note that we will do a short review and I will answer all questions
on Saturday morning before the exam (which will be held the last
hour of the class).

Noteworthy:
- Keep in mind that the schedule is only approximate - not a
locked-in-concrete contract. It is subject to change,
either in class or via the Announcements page!!
- Look over the textbookS. Be familiar with the syllabus
and the pattern of the course. Don't hesistate to ask
questions before or after class or during class (pertaining to
the material or any of the course adminstrativia).
Frequent attendance is important for deep learning as is doing
the reading carefully.
