Overview

This chapter presents the basic processes and concepts of change and development in organizations. First, it identifies and discusses the major forces for change. Next, the chapter addresses the processes for planned organization change. Then it examines the processes of organization development and deals with the sources of both organizational and individual resistance to change. Finally, the chapter addresses some international and cross-cultural issues in organization development and the keys to successful OD programs.
