OVERVIEW

This section identifies the important factors an entrepreneur must consider when hiring employees.  It reviews federal and state laws that govern employment practices.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

• To understand how to write the management section of the business plan.
• To be aware of the laws affecting the hiring and promotion of employees.
• To be able to explain the difference between an employee and a subcontractor.

Format for Discussion Questions: Typed, (Question in bold) followed by your answer. May be submitted in class paper copy, email, or Blackboard.
