FAQ #1: Can
courses be taken simultaneously?
Yes, two or more courses can be taken
simultaneously
FAQ #2: What
are the prerequisites to attend these courses?
It is strongly recommended that students
have a good grounding in
Networking. For those students not
having a strong background, a
comprehensive networking review
lecture is provided at the beginning of
each applicable course.
FAQ #3: Is
this a new curriculum?
Yes, These courses are designed as a
competency module to provide expertise in network security to networking
specialist, security specialist, law enforcement personnel, etc.
FAQ #4: Will
these courses be offered during the day or night?
These courses will primarily be night
courses since they are
intended for working
professionals.
FAQ #5: How
long will it take to complete all courses?
A full-time student would normally complete
all courses in one
year, however, these courses are
oriented toward working professionals who normally take two course per semester.
FAQ #6: Is
it possible to test out of these courses?
No.
FAQ #7: What
are the prerequisites for admission to the Network Security Career studies
Program?
All career studies certificate applicants
must have an Associate Degree or above, however, the Network Security courses
are open to all students.
FAQ # 8: Can students still take
courses even though they do not meet
the criteria for admission to the
program?
Yes, these courses are open to all students
as either credit or
non-credit courses.
FAQ # 9: Is
this a hacking course?
No, these courses are designed to enhance
the skills, knowledge
and abilities of the Network
Security specialist, however, to properly
defend a network the Network
Security specialist must be knowledgeable
about how it can be attacked.
