Sierra Nevada geologic map repository
Wow. Here's a great resource for those who do research in the Sierras, or the geologically-inclined visitor. Making this available online is a terrific public service by Allen Glazner and Mike Oksin at UNC-Chapel Hill.

So, Google Moon has an overlay of the geologic map of the Moon. Why doesn't Google Earth? Or maybe I've just missed that feature. It would be super cool.
It would be a great edition to Google Maps. There are indeed geologic map overlays now for Google Earth, and is an effort afoot to have a comprehensive geologic map layer for Google Earth. There is also a program called OneGeology that is attempting to make a geologic map of the surface of the entire planet.
