ABOUT ME:

Hi! My name is Brice Montaner and I will be your instructor for the course. I have received my B.A. from the Université de Provence (Aix-en-Provence, France) and my M.A. from the Université Denis Diderot (Paris, France). My Master's thesis focused on the Late Middle Ages and more specifically on the socio-topographic evolution of a neighborhood in Paris from 1350 to 1500.

I have a predilection for the Middle Ages and the Antiquity but I enjoy learning about History in general. I had very curious grand-parents and parents who gave me the chance to discover Paris and its many museums and monuments but also the rest of Europe and its most treasured places like Pompeï, Delphi, Epidaurus and Ephesus (in Asia minor) among many others.

ABOUT THE COURSE:

Your success in this class will depend on the efforts you put into it and on your ability to  keep up with the weekly readings and assignments. You will have to be organized and refer to your schedule of classes regularly.

I strongly recommend that you visit Dr Evans' Writing Center regularly in order to familiarize yourself with the expectations regarding your assignments.

If you have any question or concern about the class, it is best to contact me via e-mail at the address above mentioned. You can expect an answer to your e-mails within 48 hours.

Dr. Evans, the course supervisor, always welcomes any suggestions to improve the course and any material (photos, audios or videos) that could be integrated to the website. You can either submit your suggestions to Dr. Evans directly or to myself.

I am looking forward to work with you and hope that you will enjoy this learning experience.
