| Copy Files |
To copy files from one location to another:
- Open windows on your screen for both the source drive/directory and
the destination drive/directory.
- Choose the files to copy from the source drive/directory by clicking
on them.
- To choose more than one file at a time, hold down the Shift
key as you choose each file.
- To choose files that are not adjacent to each other, hold down the
Control key as you choose each file.
- Select Edit Copy from the source window pulldown menu.
- Click on the destination window to activate it.
- Select Edit Paste, and watch your files fly from the source
to the destination.

Here is one method to use to create a new folder:
- Open a window for the drive/directory where you want to put the new
folder.
- Click the right mouse button anywhere on a blank space in the window.
- Choose New Folder and name the new folder.

Here is another method to use to create a new folder:
- Within the Save As dialog box, scroll to the correct drive/directory
in the Save in dropdown menu.

- Click on the New Folder icon.
- Name the new folder and click OK.

| Map a Network Drive |
You can map directly to the home directory on Novaweb from your college
workstation.
Once you have mapped the drive, you can easily transfer files from the
location where you are working on your web site directly to Novaweb.

To map a network drive to Novaweb:
- From your computer desktop, right click on Network Neigborhood
- Choose Map Network Drive from the pop up menu.

- The Map Network Drive dialog box will appear.
|
|

- Choose an unassigned drive in the top dropdown box.
- Type \\NOVAWEB\HOME in the second dropdown box.
- If you are at your own workstation, check Reconnect at Logon so that
the drive will be permanently connected on your computer.

The entire contents of the Home directory (all faculty and staff web
folders) will appear.
Scroll to your web folder.
From here you can easily copy files over from the original location of
your web site files.
