Top Navigation Bar with Submenus

Another popular navigation scheme uses a top main menu navigation bar and reserves the bottom navigation bar for the menu for the other pages in a particular site section.

In the site below, the author chose to use gold script graphics for the main site menu and supplement it with a plain text submenu navigation bar just below the main menu. She even explains her submenu by introducing it with the words "in this section."

Notice that she reminds visitors exactly where in the site they currently are with an "on this page" reference.
