Copy Files from one Location to Another

To copy files from one location to another:

  • Open windows on your screen for both the source drive/directory and the destination drive/directory.
  • Choose the files to copy from the source drive/directory by clicking on them.
  • To choose more than one file at a time, hold down the Shift key as you choose each file.
  • To choose files that are not adjacent to each other, hold down the Control key as you choose each file.
  • Select Edit Copy from the source window pulldown menu.
  • Click on the destination window to activate it.
  • Select Edit Paste, and watch your files fly from the source to the destination.
