By default, Mozilla Composer uses the following colors for text and links:

  • black for text
  • blue for hyperlinks
  • red for active hyperlinks
  • purple for visited hyperlinks

You can change any of these colors.

The easiest way to change all text colors at the same time is to go to Format. Page Colors and Background from the Main Menu.

The Page Colors and Background dialog box appears.

Choose Use Custom Colors.

Double click on the color box you want to change.

The Text Color dialog box appears.

You can choose one of 70 predefined colors.

Or you can add a hexadecimal color string in the text box.

Click on OK.

You will be returned to the Page Colors and Background dialog box where you can repeat the above procedure for every text color you want to change.

You can also bring up the Text Color dialog box by clicking on the Choose Color for Text color box Color Button on the Formatting toolbar. This is the upper left of the two color boxes just to the right of the Body Text text box.

When you are choosing text and link colors, remember to choose colors that contrast sufficiently with your background color or background image.
