You can make a cell span two or more rows or columns. |

To merge two or more cells so that they span more than one row or column:

To reverse the procedure, highlight the merged cell and choose Table, Split Cell from the Main Menu bar. |

| Add Rows or Columns | |
You can add more table rows by inserting your cursor in the last cell in the last row and hitting the tab key. You can also add more rows or columns to the middle of your table. Insert your cursor in the location where you want to add more rows or columns. Choose Table Insert from the Main Menu, move your cursor over the arrow, and use the submenu to choose the exact element you want to add and its position relative to your cursor. |
