To add text to a table:

If you want to change the properties of a particular table row, table column, or individual cell, place your cursor in the row, column or cell you want to affect. Right click on the table and choose Table Properties. The Table Properties dialog box will appear. You will notice that the cell, row or column being affected will be outlined in gray on your page. Click on the Cell tab. |

In the Selection area you can use the dropdown box to choose the Cell, Row, or Column to edit. When you finish with one table element, you can move to another by clicking on the Previous or Next buttons. |

In the Size area you can adjust the Height or Width of the table element selected. In the Content Alignment area you can use the dropdown boxes to adjust both the Vertical and the Horizontal alignment of the material within the table element selected. This section of the dialog box is especially useful when you want to place a graphic in a particular location. |

You can change the background color of the selected table element. Click on the button next to the words Background Color. The Cell Background Color dialog box will appear. You can choose one of 70 predefined colors. Or you can add a hexadecimal color string in the text box. Click on OK. You will be returned to the Table Properties dialog box. You can also change the background color of a table or cell by highlighting the table element you want to affect, then choosing Table, Table or Cell Background Color from the Main Menu to bring up the Table or Cell Background Color dialog box which is identical to the Cell Background Color dialog box illustrated here. |

When you have finished adjusting the cell properties, click on Apply, then OK to return to your web page. |
