There are several ways to create a table in Mozilla Composer. You can choose Insert, Table, from the main menu bar. |

In both cases, the Insert Table dialog box appears. |

Here you can set the initial number of rows and columns in a table. You can set the Width of the table as a percentage of the monitor screen or as a fixed number of pixels. You can set the Border in pixels. If you want a borderless table, set the Border at 0. Click on OK when you are finished. |

The table will appear on the page. If you have chosen a borderless table, the table outline will appear as a dashed red line. |

To add text to a table:

You can quickly adjust the table's height or width. Take a closer look at the table border. |

To adjust the width or height of the table, use your cursor to grab and drag one of the squares on the corners or edges of the table. |

You can also use the Table drop down menu on the Main Menu to Insert, Select or Delete any table element. |

You can further adjust the table properties by going to Table, Table Properties on the Main Menu or by double-clicking anywhere on the table. The Table Properties dialog box will appear. Click on the Table tab. |

In the Size section you can adjust the initial number of rows and columns in a table. You can also adjust the Width of the table as a percentage of the monitor screen or as a fixed number of pixels. In the Borders and Spacing Section you can change the Border, the Spacing between table cells, and the Padding around the data in each cell. You can align the table on the page. You can specify a location for a table caption. You can set the Border line width, Cell padding, and Cell spacing values in pixels. |

You can change the background color of the table. Click on the button next to the words Background Color. The Table Background Color dialog box will appear. You can choose one of 70 predefined colors. Or you can add a hexadecimal color string in the text box. Click on OK. You will be returned to the Table Properties dialog box. You can also change the background color of a table or cell by choosing Table, Table or Cell Background Color from the Main Menu to bring up the Table or Cell Background Color dialog box which is identical to the Table Background Color dialog box illustrated here. |

When you have finished making adjustments to your table, click on Apply, then on OK. |
