Image Composer

Work in Image Composer on a composition space which by default appears on the screen as a white square on a gray background.

Image Composer refers to each graphical image that you work with as a sprite.

On the top of the screen is a modified version of the standard Windows main menu bar.

Saving Files Image Composer saves its files with the .mic (for Microsoft Image Composer) extension.  When a file is saved with this extension, everything on the white composition space will be saved.

If you want to save an individual sprite, select the sprite, then choose File, Save Selection As from the main menu.

Be sure to select the file format you wish to save your image in. Image Composer supports the most common types of graphics files, including the gif and jpg formats you will use to save graphics to be used on a web site.
