Add a Background Image a Page
| You can put a patterned background on your
page. The background is usually a rather small image file that has been constructed in such a way that when it tiles, or repeats across the page, it looks like a seamless wallpaper pattern. |
||
| I prefer tiled backgrounds to background color
because I think they provide depth of field that makes reading a monitor easier on the
visitor's eyes. However, the background should be unobtrusive; it should have a light and subtle pattern. Choose text and link colors that provide sufficient contrast with the background pattern. Many free graphics sites on the Web provide a wide range of tiled background files. |
