Forms: Front
Page 98
Create a Form
| You create a form by first generating a form
field. Within that form field will go the entire form, i.e., both the questions you ask and the form elements, the box and button spaces where the user will supply responses. |
||
| There are two ways to create a form in
FrontPage 98. You can choose Insert, Form Field from the main menu. A drop down menu appears. |
||
|
||
| Choose the form element you desire from the menu. FrontPage 98 will automatically insert the form element inside a form field. | ||
| You can also insert form elements from the Forms toolbar. | ||
If the toolbar is not visible on your screen, choose View, Forms Toolbar from the main menu. The Forms toolbar will appear. |
||
| When you choose a form element, it will
automatically appear in a form field. The form field will be delineated by a broken line. |
||
| Handle the Form | To specify how you will gather
and retrieve the information that you request in a form, right click anywhere on the form
and choose Form Properties from the pop-up menu. The Form Properties dialog box will appear. |

||
| In the What to do with form results?
section, choose the file or email address where you want the form results to be sent. Remember that your web site host server must be running FrontPage Server Extensions for the form handler to work. Consult your site administrator for more information. |
