Save and Preview a Page
| Save a Web Page | To save a file in FrontPage, click on File, Save As on the main menu bar. The Save As dialog box will appear. | ||

In the URL
text box assign a filename to your page. Remember that this filename will become
part of the URL for the page
Be sure your file is in whatever folder you want it to be in. |

| In the Title
text box, give your page a title; remember that this title will appear at the top of the
browser window and in bookmarks to your page, so make your title clear and descriptive.
You can also use normal capitalization and spacing. Click on OK. |

| If your file contains
images, the Save Embedded Files dialog box will appear. The Embedded Files to Save text block will contain a list of the image files in the current page. |

| Click on Change
Folder. Navigate to your images folder to place the image files in that location. Click on OK. When you return to the Save Embedded Files dialog box, click on OK. |

| Preview a Page | FrontPage 98 allows you to preview your page within
Front Page Editor. However, you should also preview your page in both Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. |

To preview your page from FrontPage Editor, simply click on the preview tab at the bottom of your screen. |

| Important: Please note that what you see in Preview view is only an approximation of what you would see in a browser. | |||
| To view your page in a browser, go to File, Preview in Browser on the main menu bar. The Preview in Browser dialog box will appear. | |||

| Choose your browser and your window size. You
may also want to check the Automatically Save Page box. Click on Preview. Your browser will open and display your page. |

| Remember: Always preview your page in both Microsoft Internet Explorer and
Netscape Navigator. Always preview your page in a Window Size of 640 x 480 to determine how your page will look on a standard 13" to 15" monitor. |

| If the Preview in
Browser dialog box does not display both Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape
Navigator, or if you want to add a number of versions of browsers to your browser list,
click on the Add button on the right side of the Preview in Browser box. The Add Browser dialog box will appear. |

| Click on Browse.
Navigate to the browser you wish to add and click on Open. When the browser path name appears in the Name box, click on OK |

| You can also view a file in a
browser directly from your browser. Open the browser of your choice. Choose File, Open or Open Page (your choice of terms depends on your browser) from the main menu. Then choose Browse or Choose File (your choice of terms depends on your browser) to navigate to the drive and directory where your page is located. Note: If you have stored your FrontPage Web on your hard drive, your files can be found on the C drive. Navigate to the Webshare folder. Open it and navigate to the wwwroot folder. Navigate to the folder containing your web. Open the folder and choose the file you wish to preview in the browser. |
