Create Absolute Links

A hyperlink is a direct connection from the current location of the cursor to another location.

The most common hyperlink is an absolute hyperlink to another web site.

To create a hyperlink in FrontPage Express
  • Highlight the clickable text.
  • Choose the Create or Edit Hyperlink button  on the Standard toolbar.

  • The Create Hyperlink box will appear.
  • Choose the World Wide Web tab.

By default, the hyperlink type will be set for http: and the URL will already contain the http:// protocol.

To create an absolute hyperlink type the web site address you want to link to in the URL box and click OK.

  • Click on the Bookmark dropdown box.
  • Choose your bookmark.
  • Click on OK.
