Create Text Boxes and Password Boxes
| The Text Box | The text box form element asks for one line of text, e.g., a name or a street address: | ||

| To add a text box to your web page using FrontPage Express, you can choose Insert, Form Field, One-Line Text Box from the main menu. | |||

| You can also use the One-Line Text Box button on the Forms toolbar. |

| To specify the
properties of the text box, highlight the text box. Choose Edit, Form Field Properties from the main menu or right click on the form element. The Text Box Properties dialog box will appear. |

| Fill in the
Name of the text box. Remember that "name" is the term you use to identify the value (such as lastname) you assign to the data being collected in the form element. Set the width of the text box in characters if you wish. NOTE: Whatever you place in the Initial value field will appear in the text box. Click on OK. |

| The Password Box | The password box is similar to the text box except
that the input data appears on the screen as asterisks. To create a password box in FrontPage Express, follow the procedure to create a text box. Then:
Set the Width in characters to the maximum size of the password you want to create. Passwords are usually set to 6-8 characters. Click on OK. |
