Create a Frameset
| The
Simple Frameset |
It is very easy to create frames in FrontPage 2000..
In Page View choose File, New from the main menu. Select the Frames Pages tab. |
|
![]() |
||
| Choose the configuration of your frames.
As you click through the possible choices, you will see in the right
hand column a brief description of the frameset page and a preview of
how the frames will look.
When you have made your choice, click OK. The frameset page will open in Page View. In each frame of the frameset will be buttons that will help you set the initial page in each frame and also help you create a new page in a frame. |
||
| When you click on Set Initial Page,
you will be asked to choose a page from your current web to insert into
the frame.
When you click on New Page, the background of the frame will turn white. Here you can create your new page just as you would any other page in Page View. |
||
| When you are ready to save your frameset
page, choose File, Save As from the main menu.
FrontPage will probably first ask you to save the frameset. In that case, the entire frameset will be highlighted. Save the frameset as you would any other page. If you have created new pages from within your frameset page, FrontPage will also ask you to save the new individual pages. |
||
| When the Save As dialog box appears again, one of your frames will be highlighted. | ||
![]() |
||
| Change the page title and/or the File Name
if you wish. Click on Save.
FrontPage will automatically repeat the process with the other new pages in your frameset. |
