  • You can set the font, size and alignment of text before you type it.
  • You can also highlight existing text, then access a feature and apply it.
Create a New Paragraph

HTML doesn’t display paragraph indents. Indicate a new paragraph by double-spacing.

Create a double space by hitting the Enter key.

Create a Line Break If you want to start some text on a new line, but don't want to create a double space, you need to create a line break, i.e., a soft carriage return

To create a line break use a soft carriage return by holding down the Shift key and pressing the Enter key.

Align Text on a Page To adjust the alignment of text on a page:
  • highlight the text
  • click on the appropriate button on the Formatting toolbar to align the text to the left, center the text, or align the text to the right.
