You can check the spelling of an entire web page or you can check the spelling of a specific word. To check the spelling of a particular word, highlight the word. To check the spelling in the entire document, place your cursor at the beginning of the document. |

To initiate a spell check:
The Check Spelling dialog box will appear and immediately start to check your spelling. |

If your cursor was not at the top of your document, Dreamweaver will ask you if you want to check the spelling from the start of the document. Click on Yes. If Dreamweaver finds no spelling errors, you will get a message that the spelling check is complete. Click on OK. |

When Dreamweaver finds a word in your web page that it does not recognize, it displays the word in the Check Spelling dialog box. |

Then Dreamweaver offers you a best guess of what the word should be, and a list of further suggestions. If the highlighted word in the Change to box is correct, click on Change. If one of the words in the Suggestions box is correct, click on that suggestion to bring it up to the Change to box and click on Change. If your word is properly spelled you can click on Ignore to have Dreamweaver ignore the word, Ignore All to have Dreamweaver pass over any additional uses of the word in the web page, or Add to Personal to add the word to your personal dictionary. |

Dreamweaver will continue to check your document. When Dreamweaver is finished, you will get the message that the spell check is complete. Click on OK. |
