Add a headline in Dreamweaver by changing the size of the type. You can access the font size commands from the Properties panel or from the main menu. To change the size of text, highlight the text. |

You can use the Format dropdown menu on the Properties panel. You can access the same format menu by selecting Text, Paragraph Format from the main menu. |

You can also change the size of text by highlighting the text and using the Size dropdown box on the Properties panel. You can access this same menu by selecting Text, Size from the main menu bar. Using the Size dropdown box you can choose relative sizes like small, medium, and large. You can also choose a size in pixels for more exact control over your text. |

| Add a Horizontal Rule | |
To add a horizontal rule to a page, place your cursor on your page, then choose Insert, HTML, Horizontal Rule from the main menu bar. A horizontal rule will appear on your page. The Properties panel will display the properties for a horizontal rule. |

By default the horizontal rule will extend the length of the screen. There will be paragraph breaks above and below the horizontal rule. From the Properties panel you can set the width in pixels or percentage of the document width; you can set the height in pixels, and you can align the rule on the page. By default the rule has shading. If you want to display a solid horizontal rule, uncheck the Shading box. |
