The title of your web page is the name that appears in the colored bar at the very top edge of your browser window. For example, the title of this page is Dreamweaver 8: Create and Title a Page. Note that the title is different from the filename (The filename of this page is basics1.html) The title may or may not be the same as the headline at the top of the page. (The headline on this page is Dreamweaver 8: Basics Create and Title a Page.) When you open a new blank page in Dreamweaver, the title
text box on the document toolbar reads Untitled Document. Make your title descriptive. The title is also the phrase that appears in an end user's Bookmarks or Favorites list. |
