Font is the shape of your text.

You can change the font of your text in several ways.

If you already know what font you want to use:
  • Highlight the text you want to affect.
  • Choose your font from the Font dropdown menu on the Property Inspector

Font Menu from Property Inspector

Notice that Dreamweaver adds the names of several similar common fonts to the <FONT FACE> value.

Browsers can display only the fonts that are loaded on their computer.  The font choices ensure that visitors to your site will see your text displayed in the font face you have chosen or a similar font face.

If you want to add a font or series of fonts to the font list, choose Edit Font List from the drop down menu.

The Edit Font List dialog box appears.

Scroll through the list of Fonts Available and make your choices.

Use the arrows to move a font to the Chosen Fonts: box on the left.

When you are ready to add a font or several fonts to your Font List, click on the plus sign in the upper left corner of the dialog box.

The font will be added to the list.

When you have finished adding fonts to your list, click on OK.
