Lists:
Dreamweaver 4:
Create an Ordered List
| Overview | The easiest way to order information on a web page is to create a list. An ordered list uses a numbering system to indicate each list item. | |
| To create a list in Dreamweaver, type the
list, hitting the Enter key every time you want to type a new list item.
Your list will appear in a double-spaced column on the page. |
| To turn your list into an ordered list with
Dreamweaver, click on the Ordered List button on the
Property Inspector.
By default the Numbered List will use Arabic numerals. By default the list will now be single-spaced. To double-space the list, add a soft carriage return (Shift + Enter) twice after each list item. |
| To change the type of counter used in a numbered list, go to Text, Lists, Properties on the main menu bar. | ||
| The List Properties dialog box will appear. | ||
| Choose Numbered List from the List
Type drop down menu.
Then click on the down arrow on the right side of the Style text box to see the symbol choices for a numbered list. |
| Note:
You can click on the Numbered List button when you want to start
a list, then click the button off when you are done.
Or you can type a series of items, highlight the items, and apply the list button and style of your choice. |
