Title a Page

Create a New
Web Page
Open Dreamweaver.

Dreamweaver defaults to Standard Design View.
A new blank page will appear..
The title of your web page is the name that appears in the colored bar at the very top edge of your browser window.

For example, the title of this page is Basics: Add a Title and an Address Footer

Note that the title is different from the filename (The filename of this page is basics4.htm)

The title may or may not be the same as the headline at the top of the page. (The headline on this page is Basics: Dreamweaver 4:  Add a Title and an Address Footer.)

Make your title descriptive. The title is also the phrase that appears in an end user's Bookmarks or Favorites list.

Add a Title When you open a new blank page in Dreamweaver, the title text area on the toolbar reads Untitled Document.

To assign a title to your page, simply place your cursor in the text box on the toolbar and type in your page title.
