Open Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver defaults to Standard Design View. |

| The title
of your web page is the name that appears in the colored bar at the very
top edge of your browser window.
For example, the title of this page is Basics: Add a Title and an Address Footer Note that the title is different from the filename (The filename of this page is basics4.htm) The title may or may not be the same as the headline at the top of the page. (The headline on this page is Basics: Dreamweaver 4: Add a Title and an Address Footer.) Make your title descriptive. The title is also the phrase that appears in an end user's Bookmarks or Favorites list. |

| Add a Title | When you open a new blank page in Dreamweaver, the title
text area on the toolbar reads Untitled Document.
To assign a title to your page, simply place your cursor in the text box on the toolbar and type in your page title. |
