A horizontal rule is a line embedded in a web page. Horizontal rules are convenient and quick-loading ways to divide a web page into sections. Horizontal rules can be adjusted in several different ways. |
Add a Horizontal Rule |
Add a horizontal rule by clicking on the Quick Rule button on the Quick Tab. |
| The Horizontal Rule dialog box will appear | |||
By default the horizontal rule is about 2 pixels thick and extends the width of the page. It also automatically generates paragraph breaks above and below the rule. |
| A horizontal rule can
extend the width of the entire page or can be set to a particular width. A horizontal rule can be any thickness you desire. A horizontal rule can be filled in. |
| Use the drop-down arrows in the Horizontal Rule
dialog box to choose the alignment of your rule on the page, the size (i.e., thickness) of
the rule, and the width of the rule. Check Noshading if you want a solid rule. Click on OK. HomeSite will generate the proper HTML tags and attributes. |
