Lem, Stanislaw

b. 1921 in Lwow, then a part of the USSR.
Since 1944, Lem has resided in Cracow

Lem has an earned medical degree and has written nonfiction on medicine and cybernetics.

Levin, Ira

Levin is a mainstream author of science fiction and horror; many of his novels have been made into very successful popular films.
