Credentials

  • I have been assigned to the Loudoun Campus of  Northern Virginia Community College since 1974.  I was an adjunct instructor for one year, then joined the full time faculty.
  • For most of that time I was a member of the English faculty.  I taught composition, the English, American, and world literature surveys, science fiction, the modern novel, and an assortment of courses in journalism, creative writing, and freelance writing.
  • In July, 1999, I became the director of learning resources. I became responsible for the operations of the campus library, the testing center, and campus computer support.
  • In February, 2003, I retired from my full time position, and am once again an adjunct professor.
  • Currently I also teach two other online courses: Eng 123, Writing for the World Wide Web and Eng 256, Literature of Science Fiction.
