The Calendar section of the course web site links to a series of web pages--one for each week in the course--that detail the work you will be doing throughout the semester.  I estimate that you will spend an average of 10-12 hours per week reading the texts and working on the assignments for this class.

Each calendar week includes learning objectives for that week and a number of specific assignments to read: explanatory and introductory materials and the works themselves. The calendar pages link to all of the online reading materials as well as explanations of and links to all written assignments and exams.
