The Theodore Sturgeon Award
The Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award is given for the best short science fiction of the year. The award was established by James Gunn, director of the Center for the Study of Science Fiction at the University of Kansas, and Sturgeon's heirs as a memorial to the award-winning writer best known for his short stories. The award is chosen by a jury.
