Hugo Awards Home Page

Begun in 1953, the Hugo awards are named for Hugo Gernsback, the first editor of Amazing Stories; Gernsback is considered to be the Father of Science Fiction.

Awards are chosen by popular vote of fans who attend the annual World Science Fiction Convention.

Hugos generally reflect fan tastes and interests.
